SpeedART Porsche Boxster SP81-R tuning package adds power and looks

SpeedART has just completed its tuning kit for the third generation Porsche Boxster 981, several months after its initial teasers were released.

The tuning house offers up both performance and styling mods for the Boxster with plenty of customization options that begin with two power kits.

Available on the ‘S’ and regular models, the first of the two kits packs in an extra 20hp and 14.75 lb-ft of torque on the 261hp 2.7-liter flat-six and 311hp for the Boxter S’s 3.4-liter flat-six. This is achieved through a custom exhaust system that features sport-catalysts and manifolds/headers that also have the option of a sound switch function.

As for the Stage 2 kit, this includes an ECU tune that adds another 30hp and 22.12 lb-ft of torque.

A bolt-on turbo kit is still in progress that kicks in an additional 80hp and folds in a Titanium sport exhaust system lighter then the exhaust used on the stage 1 and 2 kits.

Performance mods also extend to suspension options tuned for either race track or the street with an airlift suspension option to lift the front end for certain road clearance needs. Wheel options include a color selection and 20- or 21-inches in size.

SpeedART provides exterior modifications that include a body kit comprised of a front chin spoiler, side panels with carbon fiber applications, a rear wing and a rear diffuser. An array of interior upgrades have also been made available.

This is a pretty extensive package from SpeedART, although it would have been nice to see a bit more from the power upgrades.
