At the 2012 Sao Paulo International Motor Show in Brazil Volkswagen unveiled the new Taigun Concept, a compact SUV that will be produced for emerging markets and Europe by 2015. Based on the Volkswagen Up! city-car, the Taigun is powered by a 1.0 liter 3-cylinder turbo engine making 108-hp. 0 to 62 mph comes in 9.2 seconds with a top speed of 115 mph.

Sounds all nice and dandy but will the Volkswagen Taigun ever make it to the United States?

Not at all. According to Edmunds, Volkswagen has no plans to import a production version.
