Report: Next-generation Lamborghini Gallardo to get new name, RWD under consideration
Speaking to CarAdvice, Lamborghini’s commercial director Fintan Knight revealed that the Gallardo supercar will be getting a successor next year – the year when the model turns 10.

The next-generation Lamborghini Gallardo is expected to get a new name and is also expected to get some of the lightweight carbon fiber technology found in the Sesto Elemento Concept.
Power wil come from a naturally aspirated engine without any hybrid technology and it seems that a manual transmission will no longer be an option. Knight also said that there may be some room for a rear-wheel-drive version, but that’s still under consideration.
At the 2012 Paris Motor Show, Lamborghini showed a slightly updated version of 2013 Gallardo LP 560-4.
