Artega’s remains purchased by Paragon, sports car production ends

Artega GT

Artega, which filed for bankruptcy in July, has officially ended production. On its website, Artega said that “On September 30, 2012, production of the Artega GT sports car was discontinued. We would like to thank you for your support and the understanding you have expressed to our company.”

The assets of the company have been purchased by Paragon AG. The new owner has no plans to resume production on Artega’s sports car – although the company will continue to service and offer replacement parts for Artega models.

Paragon will be using Artega’s buildings and engineers for its Electromobility and Body-Kinematics divisions.
