2013 Dodge Dart earns Top Safety Pick from IIHS

The 2013 Dodge Dart today received the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety 2012 Top Safety Pick award, due to its 10 standard-equipment air bags and one of the auto industry’s highest content-ratios of high-strength steel.

It is truly a groundbreaking new car.”

The 2013 Dodge Dart achieved a score of ‘good’ in tests that simulate rollover, rear, side and moderate-overlap frontal impacts.

Refresher: Power for the 2013 Dodge Dart comes from a 2.0 liter Tigershark engine, a 16-valve 160-hp MultiAir turbo unit and a new 16-valve 2.4 liter Tigershark MultAir 4-cylinder making 184-hp. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed dual dry clutch (DDCT) automatic. Prices start at $15,995.
