Fisker CEO: We are looking for strategic partners, building foundation in China and Middle East

Fisker’s CEO Tony Posawatz says that the plug-in hybrid automaker has a lot of work to do and is currently seeking discussions with strategic partners.

Posawatz said that he is also looking into starting a leasing program.

Fisker is looking into improving its relationship with its dealers as well, which consists of 48 stores in North America. Founder Henrik Fisker will be going on a 10-dealer tour in the next few days to give tours of the Karma and build customers.

Posawatz said that Fisker is looking to start a foundation in the Middle East this month and in China in early 2013.

“We think we’re positioned pretty nicely, but like any company in its infancy, we still have so much more foundational work to do. The dealer and retail network is a classic example,” he said.
