Audi is showing a concept version of what it says will be a crossover that will fit below the Q3 and will compete with the likes of the Mini Countryman/Paceman. Known as the Audi Crosslane Coupe Concept, the study provides a glimpse of the future shape of design of the brand’s future Q models.
Based on Multimaterial Space Frame, the Audi Crosslane Coupe Concept is lightweight, quick and good on fuel-economy.
Power comes from a 1.5 liter 3-cylinder TFSO engine mated to two electric motors that help fuel-economy come in around 213.81 mpg (hypothetically). Weighing in at 3,064 pounds including the lithium-ion battery, the Audi Crosslane Coupe Concept is capable of going from 0 to 62 mph in 8.6 seconds with a top speed of 113 mph.
With all the systems working together, the Crosslane Coupe Concept produces a total of 177-hp and provides a fully-electric driving range of 53 miles.
The drive of the potential Audi Crosslane Coupe Concept also has the choice of three driving modes including Cruise, Race and Normal.
