2012 Paris: McLaren P1 will make more than 700-hp, aims to be best driver’s car

McLaren Automotive has released all the images and some (very little) details on its upcoming P1 supercar, a successor to the very successful McLaren F1.

Making its debut today at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, McLaren says that the production version of the P1 have a power-to-weight ratio of over 600-hp per ton, suggesting, if the P1 weighs less than the MP4-12C, a total output of around 720-hp.

McLaren hasn’t released any details on the powertrain of the car or any performance figures, but the car is expected to include some type of hybrid setup.

Production starts next year.
