Report: Tesla says it will miss 2012 sales expectations

This don’t always go the way you plan. Tesla Motors warned its investors yesterday that its 2012 sales of the Model S electric sedan will fall about 30 percent below original expectations because it is confronting ‘unique manufacturing challenges.’

Tesla has built 255 units of the Model S from June through last Sunday. It still plans to make 2,500 to 3,000 units in the fourth quarter.
