TRD develops performance line kit for Toyota GT86

Toyota is expanding the market for its TRD Performance Line of accessories to Europe for the GT86 model.

The line will be making its debut at next week’s Paris Motor Show, and marks the first time the Toyota Racing Development line will be available to the European market.

A GT86 will be on display at the auto show to highlight much of what TRD has to offer, including interior, exterior and performance parts. The automaker says nothing will be packaged together so it will be completely customizable.

Exterior parts available include aero body kit components available painted, unpainted and primered finishes, a stainless steel rear diffuser, two 18-inch wheel options, and a metallic silver fuel cap.

Interior component selections offer a new leather gear knob and a center console-mounted pushbutton start.

Performance mods made available are front and rear stabilizers, front strut tower bar with a carbon fiber shaft, full-length ride adjustment shock absorber and spring suspension set, and a Monoblock brake kit that comes with 355mm front and 345mm rear rotors and red, 6-pot front, 4-pot rear Brembo calipers.

TRD isn’t offering anything to add extra horses, but a muffler that turns the model’s exhaust into a quad pipe exhaust is said to provide a better sound.
