The annual sales war between BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Lexus in the United States is now more important than ever. The slowing economy in China and 5-year slump in Europe has raised the stakes for impressive sales numbers in the United States.
BMW is now hoping that the arrival of the all-wheel-drive 3-Series will help it catch-up to Mercedes-Benz, which has outsold the brand all year long in the United States.
BMW and Mercedes-Benz have both been doing well in the U.S., but BMW is determined to beat Mercedes-Benz this year with the redesign of the popular 3 Series sedan.
