Report: Next BMW M3 to get straight-6 twin-turbo

Spies have captured some pictures of what sits under the hood of the next-generation BMW M3 (check them out here). From what the pictures show, the M3’s current 4.0 liter V8 will be dropped for a twin-turbo straight-6-cylinder setup that will deliver around 450-hp.

BMW M technical boss, Albert Biermann, recently said in an interview that the new M3 will drive “like no other M car.

Sales of the next-generation BMW M3 are expected to start in 2014.
