Bentley appoints former VAG Head of Design to new Director of Design, Luc Donckerwolke

Bentley recently and proudly announced that Luc Donckerwolke, formerly Head of Advanced Design for Volkswagen Group, has now migrated to Bentley as Director of Design.

Donckerwolke is most noted for his contributions and career as an exterior designer at Audi, which began in 1992. Over the years, Donckerwolke worked for other Volkswagen AG brands including Lamborghini, SEAT, and Skoda. He is also responsible for the Lamborghini Murcielago and Gallardo specifically.

“Luc Donckerwolke brings a wealth of design talent to Bentley. His extensive experience makes him the ideal person to take forward Bentley’s future design language, at a time when the company has significant plans for new models,” said Walter de Silva in the press release, Volkswagen Group’s design director.

“I would like to thank Dirk van Braeckel for the significant contribution he has made to Bentley. He has overseen the evolution of the Bentley brand and the development of the new generation Continental family and the flagship Mulsanne. I look forward to him joining the team at Volkswagen Group design,” de Silva concluded.
