With the new Cadillac ATS headed to dealers to compete with the BMW 3-Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the next-generation Cadillac CTS is expect to grow in size and go head-to-head with cars like the 5-Series and the E-Class.
According to General Motors design chief Ed Welburn, the next-geneartion CTS will have a ‘more sophisticated, more premium’ look than the current CTS.
Expected to debut next year, the new Cadillac CTS will have more contours – trading its bolder edges – a characteristic seen in the new Cadillac ATS.
Welburn says the the CTS “will continue to be very dramatic, but I think in some ways even more sophisticated.”
The current CTS will be on sale until the next-generation model arrives next year.
