Report: Jaguar to offer manual in F-Type and “at least one” other future model
Some of us auto enthusiasts have been moping over the fact that the manual transmission seems to be fading away into the pages of history. But in an interesting turn around, CARandDRIVER reports that Jaguar will be resurrecting the manual transmission for some of their future models.

The most notable car from the Leaping Cat to receive a manual is the much-anticipated F-Type sports car, which will also be receiving an eight-speed ZF automatic. This word apparently comes from a “high source” within Jaguar.
The “source’ also said that the F-Type won’t be the one receiving a manual and “at least one car planned for the all-new Jaguar platform currently in development will offer a manual gearbox.”
Should all be true, the most sensible “new car planned” for the brand could be a BMW 3-Series fighter. That’s because Jaguar needs some catching up to do if they wanted to continue competing with Germany’s top brass, many of which offer a wide variety in their lineups.
