2013 Nissan LEAF to get 155 miles on single charge, cheaper model

Word out of Japan has it that the 2013 Nissn LEAF will got upgraded range and a second, entry-level model.

Reports suggest that the 2013 Nissan LEAF, that will hit dealerships at the end of this year, will have a range of 155 miles. The extra range will be achieved by “improving the efficiency of motors and aims to improve the performance of lithium-ion batteries installed,” the report said.

Nissan is also considering a cheaper version of the Nissan LEAF. In the North American market, the price reduction could bring the base price of the LEAF to $26,600.
