Fisker Automotive has announced that it plans on recalling all of its Karma plug-in hybrid sedan to fix a flaw in the cooling fan. The issue has been linked to the California fire and possible the Texas fire that took place last weekend.

Check out more news on the Fisker Karma.

Fisker said in a statement that a fault in the fan in the front left corner overheated and caused a slow-burning fire in the vehicle in Woodside, California.

The company will start notifying customers of plans to replace the fan.

The recall involves about 2,400 units.

“This incident resulted from a single, faulty component,” Henrik Fisker, the co-founder said. “The car’s lithium-ion batteries, motor and other electric components weren’t the cause of the problem.”
