Maserati trademarked the Levante name back in March – a badge that will be seen on the model’s upcoming BMW 5 Series competitor. More details have popped up on the internet saying that the model will be built on a reworked version of the rear-wheel-drive Chrysler 300 platform.internet

A concept version of the Maserati Levante sedan is expected to debut at the 2012 Frankfurt Motor Show in September – it will be followed by the all-new Quattroporte at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show.

The next Maserati Quattroporte will be build on a long-wheelbase version of the Levante.

Together, the two sedans along with the Kubang SUV are expected to lift sales from 7,500 to 50,000 for the Maserati brand.
