George Clooney to auction off his Tesla Roadster for charity

Famed actor George Clooney is doing his part for charity at the upcoming Pebble Beach auction on August 18th- – 19th , offering up his 2008 Tesla ‘Signature 100’ roader to one lucky bidder.

The model is the first high-performance electric sports car, produced in 2008, and Clooney’s only has 1,700 miles on the odometer. It features two-tone leather interior and a coat of Obsidian Black Metallic on the outside, and it estimated to be worth somewhere between $100,000 and $125,000.

Proceeds will be donated to the Satellite Sentinel Project, a non-profit organization that is part of “an early warning system” that complies data via satellite to protect the borders of Sudan, providing the information collected to important contacts.
