Report: Lincoln MKT Town Car to offer 2.0L EcoBoost

Lincoln is planning a replacement for the Town Car sedan that will be the first four-cylinder option for the model, which will be the 2013 Lincoln MKT Town Car crossover.

The new crossover will be powered by the EcoBoost four banger that also drives the Ford Explorer and the Ford Edge, with a 2.0-liter I-4 producing around 235hp. Compared to the 3.7-liter V6 or 365 hp 3.5-liter V6 with EcoBoost, the new model is significantly slower. EPA ratings for the 2013 Lincoln MKT with EcoBoost comes in at 17/25mpg city/highway for the front-wheel drive, and 16/23mpg for the all-wheel. The new Town Car with 3.7-liter V-6 with all wheel drive comes it an 17/24 mpg city/highway, and the most notable figures are for the front-drive model, powered by EcoBoost, which gets 20/28 mpg city/highway.

Pricing for the 2013 Lincoln MKT Town Car is estimated around $50,945 for the AWD V6, and the FWD I-4 with EcoBoost will go for $49,845, including destination for both.
