FoMoCo has released the first episode in its Ford Focus ST Sessions Web Series. The first clip shows the new Focus ST hatchback taking on the MazdaSpeed3, Subaru WRX and the BMW M3.

Honestly, I thought these sessions would be more focused on showing the Focus ST taking on these cars in a head-to-head hardcore battle but instead it seems like the clip is just some B-Roll footage.

Refresher: Power for the 2012 Focus ST 5-door hatch will come from FoMoCo’s 2.0 liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder turbo making 247 horsepower with a peak torque of 265 lb-ft. Mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, the Focus ST runs from 0 to 62 mph in 6.5 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph. Prices start at $24,495.
