Report: Next McLaren F1 to make 1,000-hp, to debut at Pebble Beach

The next McLaren F1 has been spied on just ahead of its possible upcoming Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance launch.

This private event comes just ahead of the Paris Motor Show, where the model is originally expected to be unveiled.

More rumors are flying that a 3.8-liter V8 engine that produces 800-hp will power the next F1, also featuring the kinetic energy recovery system, which would tack on an extra 200 horses, giving the model a total of 1,000-hp. All that power offers up a good indicator of a 0-62 mph time falling somewhere between 2 and 3 seconds.

While this is all speculation, we’ll keep the details coming as they become available.
