Report: Jaguar C-X75’s 1.6 liter to have a turbo and supercharger
Jaguar confirmed today that the new 1.6 liter engine to be used in the C-X75 supercar will rev to 10,000 rpm. The engine will user a turbocharger and supercharger to pump out around 500-hp. The system will also consist of two electric-motors on the front and rear axle helping push the C-X75 from 0 to 60 mph in 3 seconds with a top speed of over 200 mph.

Even though the Jaguar C-X75 will be sold as an ultra-expensive supercar, the company has worked hard to make it a fuel-efficient plug-in hybrid. All electric driving range will come in at 37 miles – 0 to 60 mph in electric mode will come in at 6 seconds.
Design, aerodynamics and building material will also play a huge roll in the production of the Jaguar C-X75. The model will the company first carbon-fiber intensive vehicle and will be built on a bonded monocoque from a carbon fiber tub.
Only 200 units will be built with prices come in well over $800,000.
