Jaguar confirmed today that the new 1.6 liter engine to be used in the C-X75 supercar will rev to 10,000 rpm. The engine will user a turbocharger and supercharger to pump out around 500-hp. The system will also consist of two electric-motors on the front and rear axle helping push the C-X75 from 0 to 60 mph in 3 seconds with a top speed of over 200 mph.
Even though the Jaguar C-X75 will be sold as an ultra-expensive supercar, the company has worked hard to make it a fuel-efficient plug-in hybrid. All electric driving range will come in at 37 miles – 0 to 60 mph in electric mode will come in at 6 seconds.
