Last week, we heard reports that Aston Martin wouldn’t be opposed to the idea of using smaller engines as long as it doesn’t pull away from the performance of an Aston and the prestige of an Aston.

A report from De Telegraaf now states that Aston martin could source smaller engines from Toyota. The British supercar maker is apparently interested in the V8s used by Lexus and the 4.8 liter V10 used by the Lexus LFA.

Aston Martin and Toyota already have an established relationship as Toyota provides Aston with iQs to produce the Cygnet on. Also, Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda and Aston Martin CEO Dr. Ulrich Bez have a pretty strong relationship as both are enthusiasts of motorsports.
