For the 2013 model year R8, the Audi R8 V10 Plus a new top model in the model series, with a totally new 7-speed S tronic. The plus in the name basically stands for all the extras offered in one model with a little bump in power.

For instance, as an option, Audi offers a front splitter and large diffuser made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) on other R8 models but makes both standard on the R8 V10 plus. Also standard is the navigation system and the Bang & Olufsen Sound System and a choice of matte colors.

Available only as a coupe, power for the new 2013 Audi R8 V10 plus comes from a uprated version of the V10 FSI unit making 550-hp with a maximum torque of 398 lb-ft. Mated to a 7-speed S tronic transmission 0 to 62 mph comes in 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 197 mph. With a manual transmission, 0 to 62 mph comes in 3.8 seconds and top speed falls to 14.9 liters.

Fuel-economy wise, the Audi R8 V10 plus averages 18 mpg with a S tronic and 16 mpg with a manual.
