Chevrolet sold nearly 1.3 million vehicles in second quarter of 2012
Chevrolet seems to keep knocking the ball out of the park when it comes to sales. The brand sold nearly 1.3 million vehicles worldwide in the second quarter of 2012, which is a 2.3 precent gain over last year’s record-setting second quarter.
That makes it Chevy’s best quarter and the seventh consecutive quarter of record-breaking sales.

“Seven consecutive quarters of record sales is solid proof that Chevrolet is delivering the high quality products, easy-to-use technologies and expressive designs that people around the world are demanding,” said Chris Perry, Chevrolet vice president of global marketing. “With even more great new products on the way, we look forward to a strong second half of 2012.”
The Chevrolet Cruze continues to be the best-selling model worldwide with a more than 350,00 units sold and so far this year more than 1.65 million sold since it was launched. The new Chevy Sonic and Malibu are also helping boost sales.
In the United States alone, Chevrolet sold 513,538 vehicles in the second quarter, an increase of 5.2 percent.
