Earlier this week, we learned some new details on Tesla’s upcoming electric sedan that will be comparable in size to the BMW 3-Series.

New reports now suggest that the company is also working on a successor to the Tesla Roadster, but this time it won’t be based on a Lotus architecture. Word on the street is that Tesla will just use a scaled-down version of the Model S platform.

Now here comes the real kicker. Tesla is apparently considering a light pickup that will look something along the sides of the Honda Ridgeline. The model will be spun off the Model X crossover but won’t be used for heavy towing. Instead the Tesla pickup will be picked at those with an active-lifestyle – think California surfer types.

Telsa Pickup………..well all I have to say if it’s going to model it after the Ridgeline why not buy the Ridgeline from Honda since it’s mostly all there and find a place to put the batteries.
That said even associating the model with the Ridgeline name is the “KISS of DEATH”!
Best of luck Telsa with this “out of the box” thinking!

A Tesla Pickup! am also surprised. it will look something like a Honda Ridgeline, i doubt they can make that possible. the worst part is that they wont build it for heavy towing. what’s a pickup if it can’t be used for heavy towing? obviously am not looking forward to it. if am going to buy a pickup, then it’s going to do all my towing with any type of hitches for heavy or light towing.
