Now that the Tesla Model S is finally being delivered to its respective customers, the electric-car maker is setting its site to get the Model X SUV into production by late next year.
However, that’s not all Tesla has planned. We’ve heard of it before and today some more details have been dug up on Tesla third electric model, which will compete with cars like the BMW 3-Series. According to AutoCar Tesla’s chief designer, Franz von Holzhausen, has confirmed that the first of the new models could launch as early as 2015.
“The third model will continue to drive down the price point as fast as possible,” von Holzhausen said. Target pricing is set around $30,000.
In terms of design, Von Holzhausen says that the new model will be ‘more experimental’ and will have some more ‘personality’ than the Model S.
