2013 Ford Focus ST gets EPA-rated fuel-economy of 32 mpg highway

FoMoCo has just announced the official fuel-economy figures for the new 2013 Ford Focus ST and the figures are quite impressive. According to official EPA-estimates, the Ford Focus ST will average a fuel-economy of 23/32 mpg (city/highway) or a combined 26 mpg.

In comparison, the Volkswagen Golf GTI gets 21/31 mpg and the Mazdaspeed3 gets 18/25 mpg.

Refresher: Power for the 2012 Focus ST 5-door hatch will come from FoMoCo’s 2.0 liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder turbo making 247 horsepower with a peak torque of 265 lb-ft. Mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, the Focus ST runs from 0 to 62 mph in 6.5 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph. Prices start at $24,495.
