According to report by AutoWeek BMW will bring the new M135i to the United States in early 2014 in coupe form. The model will be the first in what will eventually become a line of M Performance models for North America.

The BMW M135i Coupe will replace the 1-Series M Coupe, which recently ended production after selling more than 6,000 units – 600 of which were sold in the states.

A 2014 Detroit Auto Show debut is expected for the M135i Coupe. Power for the BMW M135i Coupe will come from the same engine in the Euro hatch-version, which carries a 3.0 liter straight 6 with M Performance TwinPower Turbo technology. The engine produced 320-hp at 5,800 rpm with a maximum torque of 332 lb-ft between 1,300 and 4,500 rpm.

For those of you still thinking that the 1-Series will be badged the 2-Series – I suggest you hit up someone at BMW for more information.

Thats a good news I guess. 1-Series M Coupe was an excellent car and now this one as it going to replace it must be an awesome production from BMW for sure.
