Report: Honda showing its SYNC competitor this summer, will debut on 2013 Accord

Honda Fit EV Interior

Back in January, Honda released that it had made a partnership with Aha Radio at CES, which will give its drivers access to tons of streaming audio using the Aha Radio app through the car’s radio unit. Apart from this announcement, Honda has been taking a back seat to other automakers when it comes to infotainment systems.

Recently, Honda has announced that it will be unveiling its new HondaLink system; ahead of the release of the 2013 Accord it will be available in later this year.

The automaker has a lot of catching up to do, but so far we know Honda will be replacing satellite data, although it is unclear weather driver’s smartphones will carry the weight or if a continuously connected modem will be implemented in its place.

More details will become available later next month, including more information on the possibility of adding in Apple Siri Eye Free, and is set to launch first in the new Honda Fit EV.
