Report: Things looking better for Alfa Romeo’s U.S. launch, 4C coming early 2013

One of the most important moves to be made by Sergio Marchionne and Fiat’s acquisition of Chrysler Group LLC is bringing back the Alfa Romeo brand to tune United States. Marchionne and Fiat’s other executives have been taking their time to get everything right but it seems like things are finally starting to work out.

Fiat is now better placed to bring back Alfa Romeo since it can tap into the huge Chrysler dealer network, factories and even car platforms to help spread the Alfa Romeo brand in the United States and pitch it as a proper global brand.

Fiat’s five-year plan aims for Alfa Romeo sales of 500,000 in 2014. The brand sold only 132,400 in Europe in 2011.

The first car to come from Alfa Romeo will be the 4C (seen here), due out early 2013. It will compete with the likes of the BMW Z4, Mercedes-Benz SLK and Porsche Boxster.
