The new 2013 Nissan Sentra is on its way here after an earlier debut of a Chinese domestic market version (pictured above, the 2013 Nissan Sylphy Concept). And to prepare for the all-new Sentra’s launch here in the North American domestic market, Nissan has just announced that the new Sentra will be produced at their plant in Canton, Mississippi, where 1,000 new jobs are expected to be created.

“The addition of Sentra production is a testament to our dedicated Canton workforce and the high level of production quality that they deliver each and every day,” said Bill Krueger, vice chairman, Nissan Americas. “The Canton team has proved it can compete and win on a global scale, and it is due to this that we are adding three vehicles to our production roster in Mississippi.”

Nissan’s Canton plant currently produces the all-new 2013 Nissan Altima as well as the Armada full-size SUV, the full-size Titan pickup, and the NV commercial vehicles.
