Study: Bright red cars attract the most bird droppings
According to research dune by UK firm Halfords, bright red vehicles attract more bird droppings than any other colored car. The study recorded the frequency of bird droppings on cars in 5 cities around the UK including Brighton, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester and Bristol.
The study is based on a total of 1,140 cars.
Halfords said that insurance companies state that bird droppings on cars can be an expensive problem.
“This research does have a serious side because the problem annoys drivers, causes damaged paintwork and affects the value of vehicles,” said Halfords car cleaning expert David Howells. “To protect your bodywork from damage, droppings should be carefully cleaned off as soon as possible.”
