Report: 50,000 2012 Honda Civics recalled for potentially defective driveshaft
It seems the ninth generation Honda Civic just can’t get away from its own bumpy road because Honda has just issued a recall for 50,000 2012 Honda Civics.
According to the report, the affected Civics didn’t have their left driveshaft properly installed during manufacturing. As a result, the driveshaft could separate from the outer CV joint, completely immobilizing the vehicle. The parking pawl also be unable to keep the car from rolling when the transmission is in the park position.
No crashes or injuries have been reported.
