Later this weekend, the production version of the Nissan Juke Nismo will make its world debut at the Le Mans 24 hour alongside the Nissan DeltaWing and the Juke-R.
While Nismo is usually known for offering a more hardcore performance version of a Nissan, don’t expect much from the Juke Nismo.
Power still comes from a 1.6 liter direct injected turbo 4-cylinder gasoline engine but the Nismo engineers upgraded the Juke with a stiffer suspension with new steering modifications for a more direct handling and improved traction control. The Nissan Juke Nismo will also be available with torque vectoring, a technology offering better grip and cornering capacity.
Looks wise, the Nissan Juke Nismo gets a new lower front and rear bumpers, wider wings and sill side skirts, a modified grille and a new tailgate spoiler that control airflow. It also gets 18-inch alloy wheels with wider tires. Inside, the interior gets a bunch of sporty upgrades including new pedals, gauges, gear knob, steering wheel and trims.
European sales of the Nissan Juke Nismo start January 2013.
