During the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference today at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, the company’s CEO Tim Cook confirmed that the Siri personal assistant will soon be offered in your car.
Cook said that within the next 12 months, drivers will be able to push a button on the steering wheel that will connect them directly with the Siri personal assistant.
A bunch of automakers including BMW, General Motors, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Audi, Toyota, Chrysler and Honda have signed on for the experience. Ford is not on the list and we’re guessing the reason behind that has something to with SYNC and Microsoft.
I for one, can’t wait for the service.
