2013 Volkswagen CC R-Line is U.S. bound

Making its global debut at the upcoming 2012 Auto Mobil International show on June 1st in Leipzig is the updated Volkswagen CC sports sedan R-Line.

The CC R-Line will be hitting U.S. soil exclusively later this year and will feature interior and exterior upgrades, while power will remain the same as the standard CC.

Exterior modifications include a chrome grille with the R logo, a new front bumper with a larger lower air intake, projector-style fog lights, side skirts, smoked taillights and a set of 18-inch alloy wheels.

On the interior is a multifunction steering wheel with paddle shifters for the DSG-equipped models, and stainless steel R-Line scuff plates.

Standard equipment on the CC R-Line folds in LED tail lamps, auto windshield wipers, automatic climate control, power front seats, and Bi-Xenon headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights and Adaptive Front-lighting System. In addition, the model gets leatherette upholstery and an improved sound system.

Power for the model comes from the standard 2.0-liter turbo TSI petrol motor that makes 200-hp, coupled to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Check back for pricing, as Volkswagen is expected to release these figures closer to the U.S. release.
