For a while now, we’ve been hearing the Chrysler Group LLC CEO Sergio Marchionne is deciding on just one minivan for the group’s brands (between the Chrysler Town & Country and the Dodge Grand Caraven) and on what to do with the Jeep Compass.

The verdict is in – Marchionne has decided that the Jeep Compass will be killed off, the Dodge Grand Caravan will be the company’s only minivan and the Chrysler Town & Country mini will be replaced with a large crossover.

Reason to drop the Compass? It’s to similar to the Jeep Patriot.

We definitely think it’s the right decision and the Chrysler brand desperately needs a SUV/Crossover of some type.
