Report: Lexus working on a GS-based coupe
If you were to walk into a Lexus showroom right now and were interested in purchasing a coupe – well, you would be out of luck. Well, unless you have $375,000 to drop on the Lexus LFA supercar.
Come 2013, Lexus plans to change all that with a new performance coupe for the 2014 model year.

All Lexus’ top management want a coupe in the lineup to push its new ‘sporty’ image beyond just sedans, SUVs and hybrids. Head of Lexus in the United States, Mark Templin, also wants a coupe that would sit in the range of $60,000 – $70,000.
Most likely candidate? A coupe version of the Lexus GS is rumored. We’re thinking that Lexus will use the GS as the basis for the new coupe but won’t directly call it the GS-Coupe.
