Tesla Model S electric sedan deliveries start June 22
Tesla Motors is staying true to its word. Earlier this month, it was reported that Tesla would begin deliveries of the Model S electric sedan next month. The company officially confirmed today on its blog that it will begin deliveries on June 22.

“We are ahead of schedule and can’t wait to put our first Reservation Holders behind the wheel,” George Blankenship, Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Ownership Experience, wrote on the company’s blog. “We’ve been looking forward to this day for over three years, and the buzz around the office and the factory is escalating every day.”

“The Tesla Factory will begin customer deliveries on June 22nd!!!,” he added with much enthusiasm.

Refresher: The Tesla Model S sedan can be recharged from any 120v, 208v or 240v outlet. Depending on which Model S trim-level you chose, the all-electric sedan will provide you with a total range of 160, 230 or 300 miles per charge. 0 to 60 comes in just 5.6 seconds with a top speed that is limited to 130 mph. Pricing is expected to come in at $49,900 after a federal tax credit of $7,500. A $5,000 reservation fee is required but is refundable.
