Video: Hennessey Venom GT Spyder hits the dyno, Steven Tyler takes delivery

So guess who recently purchased the new Hennessey Venom GT Spyder? Aerosmith’s lead singer Steven Tyler and to celebrate the delivery, Hennessey has released an new promotional video showing the Venom GT on the Dyno.

The Hennessey Venom GT Spyder is powered by a 6.2 liter mid-mounted twin-turbo V8 making 1,200-hp and 1,555 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed maul transmission, which pushes the 2,685 pound form 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds and 0 to 200 mph in 15.3 seconds.

Hennessey plans to build 5 units with each unit selling for $1.1 million. Ball so hard.

    So, and … what was the result? Are they too afraid to tell us? Is it indeed only the 700-something HP to the wheels like the non-Spyder version was tested at? So much for ’1,200 HP’, right? Oh well, marketing goes a long way if you want to compete with the 1,200 HP Veyron. Just my $0.02…
