Report: No more BBC’s Top Gear UK until January 2013
BBC Top Gear UK’s Jeremy Clarkson conducted a recent 11-minute over-the-phone interview with a South African radio station.
And in that interview, Clarkson mainly talks about how Top Gear had the three hosts driving around the Monaco GP circuit on a race weekend for a particular up and coming Hollywood movie as well as a special Top Gear Festival in South Africa.
But the more important detail was when Clarkson said that the Top Gear Festival was “about the only time” he, Richard Hammond and James May would work together in 2012. As a result, he also said that “there is no Top Gear this year,” except for Christmas Special. Well, damn.
Check out Jeremy Clarkson’s interview after the jump.
The reason supposedly is because of Simon Cowell and his popular pop idol show as Clarkson said: “Sunday nights will be full of fat people singing,” said Clarkson. “Top Gear is a medium size van. Cowell is a juggernaut. When he has finished his singing competition, our new series will start.”
Clarkson was also noted for announcing on his personal Twitter account that he confirmed, Top Gear UK will be returning in January of 2013.
