Volkswagen Polo R Line package released in Europe
Volkswagen’s Polo Match model has been given a special treatment with the launch of the Polo R Line.
On the interior is a set of ‘Kyalami’ trimmed sport seats, R Line headrests with an ‘R’ logo, aluminum-capped pedals, and an R Line badged steering wheel The headliner is covered in black cloth.
The outside of the R is given a black gloss radiator grille, 16-inch ‘Mallory’ alloy wheels, tinted rear windows, standard fog lights, deeper side sills, and more aggressive front and rear bumpers.
Only one motor is offered for power, which is the 1.2-liter petrol, mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. This allows for a 0-62mph time of 9.7 seconds, with top speeds reaching 118 mph. Fuel economy sits at 53.3mpg, with city and highway combined.
As for standard equipment, the R Line offers up automatic air conditioning, a multi-device interface with a radio/CD player and six speakers, a trip computer, height-adjustable front seats, heated rear-view mirrors, and a trip computer.
The price tag for an R Line starts at around $20,000.
