Chevrolet Corvette coming to South Korea

The all-american Chevrolet Corvette sports car is headed to South Korea next month as the Detroit automaker seeks to expand sales in overseas markets.

For the first time ever, citizens of South Korea will get to enjoy a 6.2 liter V8 engine making 430-hp all for a mere 86.4 million won ($76,300 USD).

We’re guessing a halo car like the Corvette will help GM attract more customers to its brands in the market.

In the first quarter of 2012, GM’s Korea sales were up 6.5 percent compared to a drop of 7.2 percent at Hyundai and 7.4 percent drop at Kia.
