Report: Hyundai plans to sell 385,000 2013 Santa Fe units a year

Hyundai says it plans to sell 152,000 units on a global scale in 2012 of its new 2013 Santa Fe model, which was revealed at the 2012 New York Auto Show. In 2013, the first full year for the Santa Fe, Hyundai said it plans to sell 385,000 units globally.

“We are confident about positioning Santa Fe as premium model both at home and in the overseas markets,” Hyundai chief executive Kim Choong-ho said.

The third-generation Santa Fe is the first massive upgrade in 7 years.

The Hyundai Santa Fe is available in two-trim levels including the Sport, which comes in a two-row 5-passenger model and a long-wheelbase 3-row 7-passenger vehicle.

Power for the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport is powered by 2.4 liter GDI or a 2.0 liter turbo GDI. The 2.4 liter makes 190-hp while the 2.0 liter makes 264-hp. The Hyundai Santa Fe LWB gets the 3.3 liter V6 making 290-hp.
