Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe Black Series to become DTM safety car
For 2012, the Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series will be featured as the DTM Safety Car.
The DTM Safety Car is a model selected by the German Motorsport Association, and is used to keep up with safety compliance and assist driver Jurgen Kastenholz attend to any safety incidents involving spectators, racecar drivers and track marshals.
Powered by a 6.3-liter V8 engine that puts out 517-hp that gets it from 0-62-mph in just 4.2 seconds, ensuring that any issues that may arise can be quickly attended to. It has been modified with an AMG sports exhaust system with a silencer, four drive options for the transmission, along with chassis and suspension tuning. On the inside, the C 63 AMG was fitted with four-point seat belts.
