Infiniti comes to Chin with long-wheel-base M35 Hybrid

As we previously reported, Nissan has made the decision to build its luxury Infiniti brand in China, starting with two models. We now know that one of those two will be the M long-wheel-based model, which will be available in as an n/a and a hybrid.

This model was created just for the Chinese market and swells the size of the wheel base by 5.9 inches, putting the total length at 120 inches. On the inside, the additional space all goes to the rear passengers.

The M25L gets power form a 2.5-liter V6 petrol motor that produces 232hp and just over 184 lb-ft of torque. A 3.5-liter V6 petrol hooks up to an electric motor for the M35hL variant, that when combined put out 359hp.

“The Infiniti M long-wheel-base – available in M35hL hybrid and M25 normally aspirated versions – is the first high-end Infiniti luxury sedan tailor-made for Chinese customers,” commented Nissan’s Vice-President Andy Palmer. “It strikes a perfect balance between outstanding performance and environmental sustainability and brings a new challenger to China’s premium car market,” concluded Palmer.
