We’ve already heard about some nice new models from Audi in the United States for the 2012 model year. Included in its 2012 model year onslaught are the new Audi A6, Audi A7, Audi R8 GT, Audi TT RS and minor changes to the Audi A4, Audi A3 and the Audi Q5.
The automaker recently released a complete list of 2012 model year models for the United States and one vehicle we haven’t really heard much about before is the new Audi A8 L W12.
Unlike the regular Audi A8 and Audi A8 L, which are powered by a 4.2 V8, the Audi A8 L W12 carries a huge 6.3 liter 12-cylinder engine pumping out 500 horsepower and a peak torque of 463 lb-ft. The engine is mated to a 8-speed Tiptronic transmission and quattro all-wheel-drive. The A8 L W12 can run from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 4.4 seconds.
