At the 2012 New York Auto Show, Porsche came to the U.S. with its very first Cayenne Diesel. Starting at $55,750, buyers can get into a Cayenne powered by a 3.0 liter V6 turbo diesel making 240-hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. The diesel engine will push your Cayenne from 0 to 60 mph in 7.2 seconds with a top speed of 135 mph.

Not bad but not super impressive. Well, according to CARandDRIVER, Porsche is now working on a new Cayenne S Diesel that will be powered by a V8 fuel-sipping engine rather than a V6. That diesel V8 would come from Audi and will make 346-hp and 590 lb-ft of torque as it does in the A8.

Will it come to the United States? I highly doubt it.
